Inès P. is a journalist, author, and visual artist
.As a child, she experienced her first aesthetic awakening through African art. After returning to France from numerous trips to Africa, she began creating art from out-of-order manufactured objects. These poor, discarded and found materials are assembled into dynamic, colourful shapes that reflect her initial emotions.
Her works navigate the realms of memory and imagination, intertwining tradition, history, and personal experience to form a universal connection.
The multicultural influences in her art are evident in her choice of subjects, concepts, and the use of rejected materials—items considered worthless, yet whose beauty she perceives.
These materials shape her creative process, and their reinterpretation gives rise to new entities. The remnants of their past lives contribute to divergent structures that challenge the meaning of art. In her work, ancient symbols encounter modern dystopias, creating a bridge between isolated experiences and inviting viewers into a rich, interconnected world.
